Presented by: Dr. Lisa Sulsenti and Cheryl Kasper, MSW, LCSW
Often children with Autism Spectrum Disorders, Sensory Processing Disorders, and ADD/ADHD have difficulty with organization skills and behavior both at home and school. Providing adaptive strategies that teach the child how to organize and sort through higher executive functions does not have to be confusing, frustrating and difficult. The simple tasks of getting homework from school, home, complete and back to the teacher can be easy and enjoyable. In this workshop, Dr. Lisa and Cheryl will discuss skills that are teachable to the child and that will ultimately, allow the child to organize and behave in a positive manner. They also provide effective tips on how to approach behavior problems with positive support and communication. Their ideas can be easily implemented at home and in school providing success almost immediately.
A light organic complimentary snack will be provided by Not Just Deserts.
